Through diverse programs and community-focused projects, NLCT provides a dignified life and a secure environment for all its residents.

OUR VISION

OUR MISSION

Ensuring a life of dignity for destitute adults, abandoned senior citizens, orphaned and helpless children and Caring for cattle

OUR VALUES

Our Origin Story

The seeds of NLCT were sown in 1991 by our founders, Shri. A.A. Swamy and Smt. Lalitha Swamy. While serving in government roles, they shared a deep-rooted passion for supporting those in need.

Their mission took a definitive shape during a visit to a government hospital, where they encountered two differently-abled individuals—one visually impaired and the other with a locomotor disability. Despite being medically discharged, they had no home to return to. Shri. and Smt. Swamy opened their ancestral home in Eraiyur village to them, providing the shelter and care they lacked.

As word of their compassion spread, more people sought refuge. What began as a personal act of kindness for two individuals quickly grew into a vital community movement. To meet this rising need, the founders formalized their vision on October 2, 1991—Gandhi Jayanthi. The foundation was later officially registered as a charitable trust in 1997, continuing its legacy of selfless service.
